The Queens-border belt — city energy meets suburban tradition.
North Valley Stream is an unincorporated hamlet of about 18,000 just north of the Village of Valley Stream, split roughly in half by the Southern State Parkway. Most of Valley Stream State Park lies within the hamlet, giving it a wooded corridor along the stream. It is a residential community bordered by Elmont, Franklin Square and the Queens line.
