Lake Success is a village of about 2,800 people at the southern end of the Great Neck Peninsula, bordering Little Neck in Queens. It is named for its kettle lake. From 1947 to 1952 the former Sperry Gyroscope plant on Marcus Avenue served as the temporary headquarters of the United Nations, and the building is now partly leased by Northwell Health.
